JOB DESCRIPTION – ASSISTANT SERVICE WRITER

The Assistant Service Writer’s role is to manage vehicle and customer work-flow, maintaining customer satisfaction from check-in to check-out. The Assistant Service Writer reports directly to the Service Manager and General Manager.

As an assistant service writer, the position carries the roles of:
-Serving customers and acting as liaison between technicians and customers.
-Following procedures to maintain workflow, authorization, and comply with legal standards.
-Managing the purchase of parts and materials as authorized by customers and the Service Manager.
-Focusing on customer satisfaction, sales building, team building, and driving car count.

Qualifications

• Prior Service Writer experience preferred, but not required.
• Relevant experience in a fast-paced retail environment helpful.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, preferred. (ASE Certifications helpful)
• Microsoft Office experience and knowledge.
• Ability to work with Automotive work-order related software.
• Email and social media proficient.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• High School Diploma or GED/college coursework.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen
• Ability to work some Saturdays
